Before your departure to Bali, ensure that you have all the necessary documentation and proof of vaccinations required by the government to enter Indonesia;

  • Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
  • Return ticket or a connecting ticket to continue travelling to another country or returning to your departure country. (Please note that the Visa on Arrival is only valid for 30 days up to a maximum of 60 days with an extension.)
  • Card or certificate (physical or digital) for COVID-19 vaccine which must have been administered at least 14 (fourteen) days before departure. This must be written in English as well as the language of the country/region of origin of arrival. The proof should also be verified on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia or e-HAC International Indonesia
  • Download the PeduliLindungi app and fill out the Indonesian e-HAC app
  • Negative RT-PCR test results in the country/region of origin at a maximum of 2 x 24 hours before departure and attach this to the Indonesian International e-HAC app.
  • Book your PCR test on arrival and make payment using this link (This may be done up to 14 days in advance.)
  • (1PCR Swab Test= IDR 275.000)

Below are the countries that are currently allowed to enter Bali and receive a Visa on Arrival. (Effective as of 21st March 2022.) Travellers who are not from these countries can travel to Bali by applying e-visa before departure.

International travellers with passports originating from the aforementioned countries can apply for VoA for Tourism after arriving only through immigration control at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

Visa on Arrival costs IDR 500.000 per person (regardless of age) and the payment is made on arrival. Payment can be done by:

  • Visa Card Master Card
  • Debit Card
  • Cash in IDR or foreign currency. Foreign Currencies accepted: USD. EURO, GBP, SGD and others as per set exchange rate.

International travellers must present the following documentation at the immigration counter:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 (six) months
  • A return ticket or a connecting ticket to continue travelling to another country and any other documents required under the provisions from the COVID-19 Task Force.
  • Vaccination certificate, physical or digital.
  • Travel insurance that covers Covid-19 and its related expenses for minimum USD 25.000 insurance coverage per person.
  • Proof of paid-booking minimum. 4 days/3 nights accommodation at any CHSE certified accommodation in Bali.

Please note that the Visa on Arrival is only valid for 30 days up to a maximum of 60 days with an extension.

The extension is granted for 30 days and is carried out at the nearest immigration office to the location where the international traveller lives while in Indonesia.

A Visitor Stay Permit from VOA for Tourism cannot be changed into another type of visa/stay permit.


Once you have received your visa stamp, you will then need to proceed with your PCR test.

Peduli Lindungi App must be completed and connect your mobile phone number. You must be reachable by WhatsApp at all times as this is where your results will come through.

Proceed to the PCR Swab Test at DPS Airport according to your online booking.

Then proceed to your CHSE-certified transportation from the airport to the first pre-booked CHSE-Certified accommodation.

  • Check-in at the CHSE-certified accommodation and await 1 PCR Swab Test in the room (3-6 hours).
  • If the PCR Swab test result is negative, foreign visitors are free to move around enjoy their stay in Bali.
  • If the PCR Swab test result is positive, and with very minor symptoms it is required to undergo 5 days of isolation at dedicated isolation hotels which currently are the following properties: Desa Pramana Swan or Hotel Max One Ubud (subject to change) covered by insurance or on own costs.
  • Persons with health issues and severe symptoms will be admitted to a hospital. The decision will be made following a physical examination by medical staff/doctor (paid by insurance service or by own expenses) On day 5 if the guest is testing negative, they can continue their travel plans in Bali on day 6.

The 2nd PCR Swab Test in Bali will take place on day 3 (usually in the morning) at the CHSE-Certified accommodation and the hotel will help with the registration for the PCR Swab Test on day 3. The price for this PCR test will be 275.000.

  • If the 2 PCR Swab Test is negative guests/visitors can freely move around Indonesia (according to terms & conditions applying when changing islands/ health regulations). Foreign visitors must strictly follow the health protocol.
